Piano Tuning

Regular tunings protect against extra work or repairs in the future. For general maintenance, a tuning every 6 months is recommended.

Standard Piano Tuning – $120

Pitch Raise – $30-$50 (when a piano is more than 20% flat; or not tuned regularly)

Piano Repair

Fred is adept at fixing all the common ailments that can occur in a piano. This includes broken strings, broken or cracked keytops, and sticking keys.

Fee – Repair cost cannot be determined until seen in person

Action Regulation

The touch or feel of the piano keys is determined by the regulation of the action. If you are experiencing stiff or light keys, we can help fix them.

Piano Voicing

Voicing the piano has to do with adjusting the tone of your instrument. There are techniques that can make the piano sound “warmer” or “brighter.”

Fee – Voicing cost must be determined in person

Keytop Replacement

If your piano’s keytops are cracked, broken, or missing, Fred can replace them and make them like new!

Insurance Appraisals

Whether for insurance purposes, selling or buying, Fred Smith is qualified in helping determine the value of your piano.
